Description
FOXG1 (Forkhead box protein G1) is a transcriptional repressor that plays a crucial role in early brain development, particularly in the formation and patterning of the telencephalon. It is essential for regulating neurogenesis, neuronal differentiation, and the maintenance of neural progenitor cell identity. Mutations or dysregulation of FOXG1 are associated with severe neurodevelopmental disorders, including FOXG1 syndrome and certain epileptic encephalopathies. In research, FOXG1 serves as an important marker for forebrain progenitors and is widely used in studies of brain development, stem cell differentiation, and neurogenetic disease modeling. The FOXG1 antibody is a valuable tool for detecting and characterizing FOXG1 expression in immunocytochemistry, immunohistochemistry, and Western blot applications.
