As the year comes to a close, we’re taking a moment to reflect on the incredible advancements in stem cell technology, highlight milestones achieved with our products, and share exciting plans for the future. At StemCultures, our mission is to empower researchers with tools that make cell culture research more efficient, reliable, and innovative.
Pushing Boundaries with New Technologies
This year marked a significant leap forward with the beta launch of two groundbreaking controlled-release growth factors: StemBeads bNGF (beta Nerve Growth Factor) and StemBeads VEGF (Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor). These products aim to streamline cell culture work by providing consistent, long-term delivery of critical growth factors, reducing variability, and enhancing reproducibility.
These products are now available on our website for those who would like to participate in our beta testing program. Controlled delivery of these critical factors has the potential to improve outcomes in areas like neurobiology and vascular regeneration. We’re thrilled to continue refining these tools to better serve the scientific community.
Celebrating How Our Products Were Used This Year
StemCultures’ products have been integral in numerous groundbreaking projects. From supporting the development of organoids to optimizing long-term pluripotent stem cell cultures, researchers worldwide have utilized our StemBeads® and DISC™ Devices to achieve unparalleled precision and efficiency in their work. These success stories motivate us to keep innovating and addressing challenges in stem cell research. See how customers are using our products by visiting the Publications page on our website.
Expanding Partnerships: Qkine Collaboration
A major highlight this year was our partnership with Qkine, a leader in developing high-quality recombinant proteins for stem cell culture. This collaboration brings together Qkine’s expertise in protein biochemistry and StemCultures’ innovations in controlled-release technology, creating a synergy that benefits researchers looking for reliable, high-performance solutions. We are looking forward to providing our customers with products backed by the quality assurance Qkine provides.
Engaging with the Scientific Community
We were thrilled to connect with researchers and industry leaders at multiple trade shows and conferences this year, including the International Society of Stem Cell Research (ISSCR) annual meeting in Hamburg, Germany, and the Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES) annual meeting in Baltimore, Maryland. These events provided a platform to showcase our products, gather valuable feedback, and engage in discussions about the future of stem cell research.
We are looking forward to attending the Stem Cell Models of Neurodegeneration meeting in Edinburgh, Scotland, and the American Society of Gene & Cell Therapy (ASGCT) annual meeting in New Orleans, Louisiana in 2025!
Looking Ahead to 2025
The upcoming year promises even more exciting developments. We plan to:
- Expand the range of controlled-release growth factors available to researchers.
- Introduce enhancements to our existing product lines based on customer feedback.
- Strengthen partnerships and collaborations to drive innovation further.
- We’re also gearing up to attend even more conferences and trade shows in 2025, where we look forward to sharing updates and connecting with the scientific community.
We couldn’t achieve any of this without the dedication of our team, the trust of our customers, and the collaboration of our partners. Thank you for making this year a success. As we move forward, we invite you to join us in shaping the future of stem cell science.
