Our Co-Founder and President, Dr. Sally Temple, has been elected to the National Academy of Medicine Class of 2022. Dr. Temple joins the 2,200 others who have been prestigiously selected as NAM members for their pioneering work in medical sciences, health care, and public health sectors. The NAM only selects 100 new national and international members each year, making this selection a very high honor.

The NAM cited Dr. Temple’s discovery and novel characterization of stem cells present in the brain of adult mammals as the reason for her election. Dr. Temple also continues to further scientific discovery through her role as the Scientific Director at the Regenerative Research Foundation (RRF) which she co-founded in 2005. The work being done under her leadership there focuses on the development of therapies for neurodegenerative diseases and macular degeneration. At StemCultures, Dr. Temple is an asset to the company’s decision making, providing the scientific vision for the future of the company.

More of her extensive resume in research and scientific discovery can be seen on the leadership page of our website, and the full NAM announcement can be found here.
