MISSION-DRIVEN
Founders Drs. Sally Temple and Jeff Stern asked why human pluripotent stem cells needed daily replenishment of nutrients – did they really need to be fed 7 times a week? With a team of research scientists, they found that FGF2 depletion was the key reason for daily feeding. They produced a stabilized FGF2 in the form of controlled-release technology and founded StemCultures to produce innovative StemBeads® and DISC™ Device cell culture products.
